CLAXTON: Alberta Barrow, 76, passed away suddenly Monday, January 18, 2016, at Candler Hospital in Savannah. She was a Sunday school teacher and lay minister for many years. She was a floor supervisor for Claxton Manufacturing Plant and later manager of the plant’s outlet store. She was an avid reader, devoted mother, grandmother (beloved “Nana”) and great-grandmother. Alberta was devoted to the work of God’s kingdom; she was loved by all and will be greatly missed.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Joe Barrow, her parents Albert C. Bethel and Helen Flanders Bethel Campbell of Colorado, son Ken Seiber, half-brother Albert Lee Bethel and half-sister Alice Lingenfelter.
SURVIORS: two sons, Dr. Joseph C (Jody) Dr. (Susan) Barrow of Peachtree City, Fayette County, Ga., Timothy (Renee) Barrow of Hagan; one daughter, Ann Seiber of Claxton; one sister, Gladys Fa Coseo; three half-brothers, Harvey and James Bethel both of Colorado; one Step-Sister, Miki Roth; eight grandchildren, Casey Erin Neidlinger, Joseph O’Rion Barrow, Kenneth Garrett Seiber, Joseph C. Barrow III, Blythie M. Barrow, Michael Akers, Christian Akers and Ashley Trudon; two Great-Grandchildren, Dax Oneal Neidlinger and Eleanor Rose Trudon.
VISITATION: Wednesday, January 20, from 5:00 to 7:00 at J. Mellie NeSmith Funeral Home.
FUNERAL: Thursday, January 21, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at Liberty Fellowship Church of God of Prophecy in Claxton.
BURIAL: Emmaus Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.
