Alice Gwen Anderson

CLAXTON: Alice Gwen Anderson, 67, passed away December 8, 2022. She was born in Savannah, Georgia December 16, 1955 to George H. and Allie Mae Boyette. She resided in Collins until she moved to Claxton with her family in 2014. Alice enjoyed tending to her flowers and watching birds play. Alice was a sweet, reliable and loving woman who had a one-of-a-kind laugh that brought joy to her family, whom she cherished more than anything.
Alice was preceded in death by her parents, George H. and Allie Mae Boyette and one grandchild, Wesley Roberts Jr.

SURVIVORS: husband, Lehman Anderson; sons, Michael (Amy) Oglesby, Alfred Oglesby (Miranda Peacock), Mitchell Oglesby and Jacob Jonathan (Randi) Anderson; daughters, Alicia Gail (Chris) Thomas and Michelle (Wes) Oglesby; sister, Sandra (Frank) Roberts; fifteen grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

VISITATION: Wednesday, December 14, 2022, 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. at J. Mellie NeSmith Funeral Home.

FUNERAL: Wednesday, December 14, 2022, 11:00 a.m. at J. Mellie NeSmith Funeral Home Chapel.

BURIAL: Ephesus Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.
