OBITUARY
ELLABELL: Robert Edwin (Ed) Shuman, Sr., 75, and Ann Driggers Shuman, 71, passed away October 1, 2014.
Mr. Shuman was born in Ellabell, Ga., on March 19, 1939, to the late Robbie and Ruth Tyner Shuman. He retired from Delta Metals after 47 years and worked with Bryan Mechanical for the last 10 years. He loved farming and fishing.
Mrs. Shuman was born in Groveland, Ga., on July 3, 1943, to the late Reginal and Laura Sauls Driggers. She was a member of the Christian Church of Pembroke and retired from the Bryan County Board of Education in 1999 after 29 years. She loved working in her yard. She was preceded by two brothers, Reggie and Lester Driggers.
SURVIVORS: Mr. and Mrs. Shuman were survived by one son, Eddie (Bonnie) Shuman of Daisy and one daughter, Sandy Shuman of Savannah; five grandchildren, Brittney Shuman, Johnathan Perkins, Katy (Brad) Cowart, Robbie Shuman and Joshua Perkins; and many nieces and nephews.
Mr. Shuman is survived by one sister, Ruby Barnard of Ellabell and one uncle, Ping Tyner of Garden City, Ga.
Mrs. Shuman is survived by two brothers, Elton (Sarah) Driggers and Donald (Restie) Driggers all of Groveland.
VISITATION: Saturday, October 4, 2014, 5-8:00 p.m., at J. Mellie NeSmith Funeral Home in Claxton, Ga.
FUNERAL: Sunday, October 5, 2014, 2:00 p.m., at J. Mellie NeSmith Funeral Home Chapel.
BURIAL: Black Creek Cemetery.
