Annette Waters Strickland

OBITUARY

CLAXTON: Annette W. Strickland, 80, passed away on April 27, 2016 at NorthSpring Senior Living in Claxton after a long illness. The Evans County native was the daughter of the late Taft and Sula Waters. She was preceded in death by her husband Joe G. Strickland Sr., son Joe (Jo Jo) G. Strickland Jr., and brother Avertte Waters.

She worked and retired from Evans Co. Farm Bureau after many years of service, where she served as an agent and secretary.
Mrs. Strickland was active in community, civic, and church activities. She was a long time member of the Claxton/Evans Co. Chamber of Commerce and Evans Memorial Pink Ladies. She was a dedicated member of Daisy United Methodist Church serving on many different boards throughout the years.

Special thanks to NorthSpring Senior Living Staff, Jamie Monroe and Kay Strickland for the care and love they provided for my mother through the years of her disease.

She is survived by son, G. Berry Strickland, grandson: Nicholas Strickland, a sister Marjorie (Bill) Lahnen of Jacksonville Fl., Sylvia (Jerry) Hollis of Jesup Ga., and Joye Letourneau of Rincon, Ga., two sister in-laws, Martha Strickland and Grace S. Sapp both of Claxton Ga., and several nieces and nephews and a host of other family and friends.
