Bernardo Martinez

CLAXTON: Bernardo Martinez, 76, passed away March 7, 2017, at Evans Memorial Hospital. He was a native of Puerto Rico but had resided in the U.S. for most of his life. He lived in New York for a number of years where he did maintenance work, before retiring and moving to Claxton. He was of Catholic faith.
Mr. Martinez was preceded in death by his wife, Ramona Perez, and his parents, Gregorio and Pilar Martinez.

SURVIVORS: two sons, Bernardo Martinez, Jr., of FL. and Gregory Martinez of NY; one daughter, Christina Martinez of FL; two brothers, Robert Martinez of NY and Feliciano Martinez of SC; two sisters, Feliciana Perez of PR, and Abdulia Martinez of NY; and several nieces and nephews.

VISITATION: Friday, March 10, 2017, 6-8:00 p.m., at J. Mellie NeSmith Funeral Home.

FUNERAL: Saturday, March 11, 2017, 1:00 p.m., at J. Mellie NeSmith Funeral Home Chapel, with Sister Janet officiating.

BURIAL: Brewton Cemetery.
