Betty was born in Glennville, Georgia, on July 16, 1946, to Harvey and Marie Blocker of Glennville. Betty worked various jobs early in her adult life, including time at the Claxton Manufacturing Company and as a beautician in the Savannah area.
After ten years of marriage, Bill and Betty welcomed their only child, a daughter Angela, in 1982. Betty spent most of the rest of her life as a happy homemaker, loving wife and mother. The family lived for many years in Anderson, S.C., and among other activities Betty loved visiting the beautiful scenery of the mountains in the area. She also enjoyed spending quality time with her family, cooking (and eating out), and watching movies.
Betty was preceded in death by her father, Harvey Blocker (2002) and brother, Billy H. Blocker, Sr., (2003), both of Glennville, GA.
