OBITUARY
CLAXTON: Buell R. (Little Man) Smith, age 80, passed away Wednesday, January 21 at his home in High Springs, FL surrounded by his family. Buell was born and raised in Evans County and lived there until 2004 when he and his wife Yvonne moved to High Springs. Buell served three years in the U.S. Army then joined the Army National Guard serving a total of 37 years. Thirty-four and a half of those years he served in the 165th M.A.T.E.S. in Hinesville, GA. He was a member of Antioch Baptist Church for 54 years until moving to High Springs. He was preceded in death by his brother Euell G. Smith, his father Hoke Smith, and his mother Okie Smith, all of Evans County.
SURVIORS: His wife Yvonne Smith, and children Teresa Sowell (Russell), Ken Smith (Tara), Glenn Hough (Mary), April Alligood (Roy), Cindy Depka, Timmy Hough (Linda), Adrienne Curtis (Ted), Frances Syverson (Kenny), 21 grandchildren, and 21 great grandchildren.
VISITATION: Saturday, January 24, 2015, 5-7 p.m. at Mellie NeSmith Funeral Home.
FUNERAL: Sunday, January 25, 2015, 2 p.m. at Antioch Baptist Church.
BURIAL: Antioch Church Cemetery.
