C.W. 'Junior' Young

CLAXTON: C. W. (Junior) Young, 89, passed away October 19, 2020, suddenly at home. He was a member of Eastside Baptist Church. Junior worked with the City of Claxton for 54 years, and was City Administrator when he retired. He did many jobs for the City of Claxton in the Public Works. He was a loving husband and father.
Mr. Young was preceded in death by his parents, C. William and Georgia Lee Barber Young, a son, Timothy William Young, two sisters, Eunice Lynn and Sally Hendrix and three brothers, Johnny, Eugene and George Young.

SURVIVORS: his wife of 62 years, Carolyn Young; two brothers, Gennis Kirby of Bloomingdale and Robert Burnsed (Bobbie) of Guyton; a brother-in-law, Doyce Tuberville (Brenda) of Pooler; one grandson, Tyler Lee William Young; and several nieces and nephews.

SOCIAL DISTANCING WILL BE OBSERVED DURING THE VISITATION AND CHAPEL SERVICE, DUE TO THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC. MASKS ARE NOT REQUIRED BUT HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

FUNERAL: Thursday, October 22, 2020, 11:00 a.m., at J. Mellie NeSmith Funeral Home Chapel.

BURIAL: Brewton Cemetery.
