Cara H Boyd

OBITUARY

CLAXTON: Cara H. Boyd, 94, of Claxton, Georgia, went home to be with her Lord on Tuesday, January 8, 2014, at Twin Oaks Nursing Home in Alma, GA. She was born in Evans County on February 19, 1919, to the late Barney and Ella Griffin. Cara was a past member of First Baptist Church of Ludowici, Georgia and is a member of Rehobeth Baptist Church. She was retired from Liberty National Life Insurance. Cara was a devoted mother, grandmother and housewife. She was a dedicated Christian lady who would share God with others. She was preceded in death by her husband Henry Boyd and daughter Linda B. Jackson.
SURVIVORS: Son and daughter-in-law, Craig and Brenda Boyd of Valdosta; three grandchildren, Russell (Nadine) Graham of Houston, TX, Candice (Troy) Lehman of Lake Park, and Cara Alice (Chris) Carter of Conyers; five great-grandchildren: Alysia Graham, Allen Lehman, Caitlyn, Kenslee and Nicholas Kyle Carter; several nieces and nephews.
VISITATION: Friday, January 10, 2014, from 5-7 p.m. at J. Mellie NeSmith Funeral Home.
FUNERAL: Saturday, January 11, 2014 at 11 a.m. at J. Mellie NeSmith Funeral Home.
