CLAXTON: Charles L. Anderson, “Charlie”, 61, passed away on December 31, 2015 at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Savannah. He was a native of Wildwood, Florida, but spent most of his life in Claxton, Georgia. He was a dedicated truck driver of Claxton Poultry for the past 16 1/2 years, where he was affectionately known as "Uncle Charlie". He was a loving husband, father and grandfather.
He was preceded in death by his parents Herman and Ruby Anderson; one brother Herbert Anderson and a sister Gwen Brown.
SURVIORS: His wife of 36 years, Karon Anderson of Claxton; two sons, Charles Anderson Jr. of Savannah and Andrew (Erica) Anderson of Ellabell; one daughter, Brittany (Nathan) Hicks of New Mexico; three brothers, Freddie Anderson of Collins, Allen Anderson of Hagan and Wayne Anderson of Florida; three sisters, Marilyn Johnston of Ocala, Florida, Becky Cowart of Hagan and Brenda DeLoach of Glennville; four grandchildren, Shane, Aden and Calynne Anderson, and Parker Hicks; and several nieces and nephews.
VISITATION: Sunday, January 3, 2016, 12pm-2pm at Mellie NeSmith Funeral Home.
FUNERAL: Sunday, January 3, 2016, 2pm at Mellie NeSmith Funeral Home Chapel.
BURIAL: Brewton Cemetery.
