OBITUARY

CLAXTON: Charles Gene Lewis, 74, passed away January 9, 2015, at Evans Memorial Hospital. The Evans County native was a member of Eastside Baptist Church. He was retired from Plant Hatch as an insulator. He was married to Ann Barnard Lewis for 34 years before she passed away. Also, he was preceded in death by his parents, James Potter and Sarah Lewis and a half-brother, Ralph Lewis.
SURVIORS: one son, Derrell Lewis of Claxton; one daughter, Scarlett (Tim) Odum of Claxton; ​four grandchildren, Krista Branch, Charles (Chaz) Lewis, Megan Waters and Kati Odum; 7 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
VISITATION: Sunday, January 11, 2015, 12-2:00 p.m., Mellie NeSmith Funeral Home.
FUNERAL: Sunday, January 11, 2015, 2:00 p.m., Mellie NeSmith Funeral Home Chapel.
BURIAL: Brewton Cemetery, Hagan, GA.
