OBITUARY
CLAXTON: Charles Wesley Reynolds, 58, passed away February 11, 2015 at his home.
Charles enlisted in the military when he was 17 years old and quickly moved up in rank. At 24 years old he became a Staff Sergeant with an E-7 rating. Also, he was a Paratrooper in the 82nd Airborne Division and was in the Secret Selective Service. Many of his missions during the Bosnian conflict are still classified as top secret at the pentagon.
One of his most noteworthy achievements was that he served as one of President Jimmy Carter’s Honor Guards during the Presidential Inauguration Ceremonies in 1977 in Washington, D.C.
Charles was preceded in death by his father Doy Reynolds of Tattnall County, brother; Clay Reynolds and maternal grandfather, Claude Smith.
SURVIORS: his mother, Sylvia Smith Reynolds of Claxton; one brother, Clyde Woodrow (Woody) Reynolds; four sisters, Debbie Braddock, Jacksonville, Fl., Marie (Frank) Hooten of Blue Ridge, Ga., Nellie (Clint) Davis of Metter Ga. and Sunshine Nalagiero, Glennville, Ga.; several nieces and nephews.

FUNERAL: graveside services will be held Monday, February 16, 11:00 a.m. at Brewton Cemetery.
