Cletus Strickland

CLAXTON/DAISY: Mrs. Cletus Strickland, 101, passed away August 22, 2018, at Camellia Health and Rehab. The Bulloch County native moved to the Evans County when she married. She was owner and operator of the Strickland Variety Store in Claxton for many years. Mrs. Strickland was a member of the Daisy United Methodist Church.
Mrs. Strickland was preceded in death by her husband, Lewis P. Strickland, a son, Lewis C. Strickland, a daughter, Patricia ‘Patty’ Strickland and 5 brothers and 4 sisters.

SURVIVORS: her daughter, Carolyn (Inman) Brown of Daisy; a daughter-in-law, Janet Strickland of Claxton; three grandchildren, Steve Strickland of Orlando, FL, Jeanne Watson of Atlanta and Lisa Shroff of Statesboro; 7 great-grandchildren, one great-great-granddaughter and several nieces and nephews.

VISITATION: Friday, August 24, 2018, 10-11:00 a.m., at J. Mellie NeSmith Funeral Home.

FUNERAL: Friday, August 24, 2018, 11:00 a.m., at J. Mellie NeSmith Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Tab Smith and Rev. Tammy Fincher officiating.

BURIAL: Brewton Cemetery, Hagan, GA.
