Freddie "Ann" Young

CLAXTON: Freddie “Ann” Young, 73, passed away December 14, 2021 at Evans Memorial Hospital. Ann loved to travel, especially to visit the beach and mountains. She loved to babysit as she enjoyed the company of kids. There were many days of laughter with dancing, singing and having a grand time with her grandchildren as she treasured her family and time spent with them. Ann loved to cook and host her family, especially during holidays. Her favorite time was gifting her children and grandchildren with stockings during Christmas filled with lots of fruit. She always knew how to have a great time as she was full of life.

She is preceded by her parents, Willie Clyde Hendrix and Annie Blanche Dees; two brothers, Sammy Hendrix and Curtis Hendrix.

SURVIVORS: husband, Bill Young of Claxton, Ga.; daughter, Felicia (Tommy) Hutcheson of Dandridge, Tn.; son, Kevin (Kendra) Sowell of Claxton, Ga.; brother, Edwin Hendrix of Hazlehurst, Ga.; sisters, Iola (Junior) Conley of Hagan, Ga.; Gloria (Colon) Hendrix of Nevils, Ga.; grandchildren, Dalton (Kira) Hutcheson of Claxton, Ga., Kadence, Colton and Kenson Sowell of Claxton, Ga.; great-grands, Amelia Lewis and Chloe Gay of Claxton, Ga.; God-granddaughter, Harley Rush and God-great-granddaughter, Brooklyn Rush of Claxton, Ga.; step-daughter, Wendy (Fritz) Stirnkorb of Washington; step-sons, Billy (Andrea) Young of Alabama, Buddy Young of Florida; sister-in-law, Gail Hendrix; step-grands, Taylor Young and Trisha Young; step-great-grands, Kayleigh Young and Sarah Lowman; along with several nieces, nephews and cousins.

SOCIAL DISTANCING WILL BE OBSERVED DURING THE SERVICE, DUE TO THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC. MASKS ARE NOT REQUIRED BUT HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
