CLAXTON: Gary Sapp, Sr., 64, passed away May 4, 2013, at Ogeechee Area Hospice. The Tattnall County native lived most of his life in Claxton. Gary was a member of Union Methodist Church and a Vietnam Veteran. He served three tours in Vietnam and two in Germany. Gary was a twenty year retired Veteran.
SURVIVORS: his wife, Dorothy Sapp of Claxton; one son Gary Sapp, Jr, of Claxton; two daughters, Parice Lands and Garrien Lanier, both of Claxton; two sisters, Sandra (Bobby) Windham of Manassas and Nell Jernigan of Dublin; one brother, Neal Sapp of Claxton; 9 grandchildren, 2 great- grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
VISITATION: Tuesday, May 7, 2013, 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.., at Mellie NeSmith Funeral Home.
FUNERAL: Wednesday, May 8, 2013, 11:00 a.m., at Mellie NeSmith Funeral Home Chapel.
BURIAL: Antioch Church Cemetery.
