CATAULA/CLAXTON: Glen Ervin Westberry, 61, passed away peacefully at his home in Cataula, Georgia. He was born in Savannah, Georgia to Ervin Westberry & Elizabeth (Lib) Hendrix Westberry. Glen was a master Electrician where he worked his trade at DP Jones Electrical for 30+ years up until his health declined making him medically retire. He was an outdoors guy that enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening with his mom. He was a man of God who put others first before himself. He loved everyone, especially his two kids. He was one who went above and beyond the call but didn’t want the spotlight on him. Glen was a one-of-a-kind type of guy.
He is proceeded in death by his parents, Ervin and Elizabeth Westberry; and baby sister, June Westberry.
SURVIVORS: include his daughter SherRee Westberry Starling of Cataula, Ga.; son, Alan (Dawn) Westberry of Columbus, Ga.; grandchildren, Harmony of Cataula, Ga.; Gracelynn & Jeremiah of Columbus, Ga.; numerous of cousins, aunts, uncles and friends he made throughout his life.
VISITATION: Sunday, August 6, 2023, 1:00 p.m. at Mellie NeSmith Funeral Home.
FUNERAL: Sunday, August 6, 2023, 2:00 p.m. at Mellie NeSmith Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Brett Howell officiating.
BURIAL: Sikes Chapel Church Cemetery.
