OBITUARY
CLAXTON: Jack E. Boatwright, 86, died Friday April 11, 2014, at Evans Memorial Hospital. The Evans County native was a member of Claxton Progressive Primitive Baptist Church. He served in the U.S. Navy and was retired from Fort Stewart after 25 years of service. He was past Master of Ezel Lodge 335. He was an avid fisherman and loved outdoors. Jack was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Ella Boatwright, a granddaughter, Betsy Boatwright and a son-in-law, Alvin Lewis.
SURVIORS: His wife, Mattie Boatwright of Claxton; one son, Dennie (Rhonda) Boatwright, two daughters; Jackie Lewis and Teresa (Tim) Eason all of Claxton; nine grandchildren; Shelia (Barry), Kevin (Stephanie), Wayne, Abe (Kandace), Ken (Lacy), Kaci, Will, Betsy (Late) and eight great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
VISITATION: Sunday, April 13, 2014, 5-700 p.m., at J. Mellie NeSmith Funeral Home.
FUNERAL: Monday, April 14, 2014, 11:00 a.m. at J. Mellie NeSmith Funeral Home Chapel.
BURIAL: Brewton Cemetery.
