OBITUARY

CLAXTON: Jackie Vera Waters Crawford Johnson, (Mother Dear) died January 23, 2015, at Ogeechee Hospice in Statesboro. She was born in Groveland but lived most of her life in Daisy. She was a member of the Hagan Methodist Church. She was a precious mother and loved her family dearly. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Eugene Johnson, a granddaughter, Tina Marie Jones and all of her siblings, two sisters, Keturah and Janie and five brothers, Lumar, Buddy, Harry, Eutice and Arthur.
SURVIVORS: two sons, Richard (Brenda) Crawford, Sr., of Bloomingdale and John Crawford of Jacksonville, FL; three daughters, Madonna (Fred) Gardener of Statesboro, Rosalind (Raymond) Duefrane of Tampa FL., and Lisa (Jerry) Jones of Brookhaven, MS; nine grandchildren, Dorinda McBride, Richard Crawford Jr., Tracy McQuaid, Michael Batchelor, Michelle Tapley, Jeff Crawford, Dana Lay, Wendy Lay and Ashley Jones; eleven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
VISITATION: Monday, January 26, 2015, 10-11:00 a.m., at J. Mellie NeSmith Funeral Home.
FUNERAL: Monday, January 26, 2015, 11:00 a.m., at J. Mellie NeSmith Funeral Home Chapel.
BURIAL: Bull Creek Church Cemetery
