CLAXTON: James (Jimmy) Wallace Mosley, 86, passed away October 13, 2017, at his residence. Jimmy ran and operated Mosley’s Garage for 40 plus years. Since many considered him a car specialist and could fix any car around. He was formerly known as “Doc”. In his earlier years he enjoyed his hot rods and drag racing. He was known for his honesty and integrity when dealing with his customers. After retiring he became a pecan farmer and loved riding his tractors and working outside.
Mr. Mosley was preceded in death by his parents, Wallace Edmond and Vonetta Mosley, a son, James Thomas Mosley, and sons-in-law, Jimmy Leggett and Bob Kicklighter.
SURVIVORS: his wife of 65 years, Betty Jo Holloway Mosley of Claxton; two daughters, Becky Leggett and Beth Kicklighter, both of Claxton; 5 grandchildren, Jess and Jay Leggett, Kenny Cannon, Canda Arnold and James Kicklighter; 8 great-grandchildren, Jayda, Victoria, Lexi, Landon, Kaedon, Kaylee, Allie and Stephen; and several nieces and nephews.
VISITATION: Sunday, October 15, 2017, 1:30 p.m., at J. Mellie NeSmith Funeral Home.
FUNERAL: Sunday, October 15, 2017, 3:00 p.m., at J. Mellie NeSmith Funeral Home Chapel.
BURIAL: Brewton Cemetery, Hagan, GA.
