Claxton; Jason "Jay" William Clark, age 47, passed away unexpectedly at home March 19, 2016. He was a 1987 graduate of Claxton High School and lifelong resident of Evans and Tattnall Counties.
Jay had a long career with John Deere and was employed as a sales representative with Flint Equipment Company. He was a member of Glennville First Baptist Church. An avid outdoorsman, he loved hunting and fishing and spending time with family, especially at Bivens Lake.
He was preceded in death by his parents Cheryl and Tommie Clark, grandparents Marie and Wilton Godbee, Alena and John Clark, and in-laws Sandra and Carroll Cobb.
He is survived by his wife of 18 years Angela Cobb Clark of Claxton, and the pride of his life, sons Johnathan and Jake Durrence of Glennville, and a brother Gregg Clark of Claxton.
Visitation: Sunday 4-6 PM at J. Mellie NeSmith Funeral Home.
Funeral service; Monday at 2 PM at Glennville First Baptist Church with burial in the Glennville City Cemetery.
