OBITUARY

SAVANNAH/CLAXTON: Jerry Lee Downs, 67, passed away June 11, 2014, at his home. The North Carolina native resided in Savannah for many years. He was a Christian of Baptist faith and Army Veteran of the Vietnam War and retired from construction management. He was a past member of the Shriners and Blue Lodge Masons.
Mr. Downs was preceded in death by his wife, Rebecca Downs and two brothers, Bobby and Billy Downs.
SURVIORS: one son, Kevin Downs of Guyton; one daughter, Precia (Jack) Watson of Walterboro, S.C.; one brother, Wayne Downs of Columbia, S.C.; two grandchildren, Brittany and Matthew Downs; one step-grandson, Michael Blocker; and several nieces and nephews.


VISITATION: Friday 13, 2014, 1-3:00 p.m., at J. Mellie NeSmith Funeral Home.
FUNERAL: Grave side, Friday 13, 2014, 3:00 p.m., at Daniel-Smith-Tippins Cemetery in Bellville, GA., with Dr. Tab Smith officiating.
