Katrina Hagan Genest

CLAXTON: Katrina Hagan Genest, 79, passed away June 23, 2016, at her residence. She was a native of Bulloch County but had resided in Claxton since 1967. She was a member of St. Christopher Catholic Church.
Katrina had a love of gardening and grew the most beautiful roses in Claxton. She loved and enjoyed cooking. But, mostly she loved her family, and was happiest when she was with her children and grand-children.
SURVIVORS: her husband of 56 years, Paul Genest of Claxton; one son, Tim (Jennifer) Genest of Savannah; two daughters, Paula (Joey) McNeely of Claxton and Brenda Genest of Savannah; three sisters, Alice Groover of Statesboro, Judy Knight of Leefield and Catherine Riggs of Richmond Hill; two grandchildren, Leslie (Josh) Braun of Statesboro and Kristin McNeely of Claxton; two step-grandchildren, Evan and Jackson Sexton of Savannah; one great-granddaughter, Lilly Kate Braun of Statesboro ; and several nieces and nephews.
VISITATION: Friday, June 24, 2016, 12:30-1:30 p.m., at St. Christopher Catholic Church.
FUNERAL: Friday, June 24, 2016, 1:30 p.m., at St. Christopher Catholic Church.
BURIAL: Friday, June 24, 2016, 3:00 p.m., at Georgia Veterans Cemetery in Glennville.
