CLAXTON: Mamie Winters Tucker, 80, passed away November 2, 2016, at Candler Hospital in Savannah. She was an active member of Union Methodist Church. For many years she volunteered as a Pink Lady at Evans Memorial Hospital. She was a homemaker, a wonderful cook and enjoyed working with her flowers.
Mrs. Tucker was preceded in death by her parents, Malcolm and Carrie Winters, and her daughter, Faye Strickland.
SURVIVORS: her husband of 56 years, Edward Tucker of Claxton; two daughters, Sharon (Tommy) Haire of Claxton, and Bonnie (Jim) Forehand of Brooklet; a son-in-law, Bobby Strickland of Claxton; 5 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
VISITATION: Thursday, November 3, 5-7:00 p.m., at J. Mellie NeSmith Funeral Home.
FUNERAL: Friday, November 4, 11:00 a.m., at Union Methodist Church.
BURIAL: Union Methodist Church Cemetery.
