CLAXTON: Margaret Ann Alexander, 81, passed away on July 20, 2024 at home. She was a native of Jasper, Alabama, but moved to Claxton, Georgia in 1994. Margaret was a devoted Alabama Football fan, and enjoyed an ice-cold Coca-Cola with Lays potato chips. Above all, Margaret’s greatest love was her family.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Larry and Mavis L. Allred; brother, Michael Allred; and great-grandchild, Thomas Alexander.

SURVIVORS: son, Steve (Diane) Alexander of Claxton, Ga.; brother, Wayne Allred; sisters, Linda Pate and Sandra Glenn; granddaughters, Heather (James) Cook and Stephanie (Andy) Benjamin; seven great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

VISITATION: Friday, July 26, 2024, 12:30 p.m. – 1:00 p.m. at Mellie NeSmith Funeral Home.

FUNERAL: graveside, Friday, July 26, 2024, 1:00 p.m. at Brewton Cemetery.

BURIAL: Brewton Cemetery
