OBITUARY
CLAXTON: Mary Beth Smith Wood, 80, died October 8, 2014, at Candler Hospital in Savannah. The Evans County native lived in Alabama for a number of years before moving back to Evans County. She was a member of Eastside Baptist Church, Co-Ed 3 Sunday School Class, Benevolence Committee and Baptist Ladies Circle.
Mrs. Wood was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert Wood, parents, Ott and Clistie Glisson Smith, two brothers, John H. and Charles M. Smith, and sister, Martha Ann Smith Sapp.
SURVIORS: a son, Carl (Cathy) Thompson of Douglasville; three sisters, Minetta Dunn of Jacksonville, Cheryl Smith Rogers of Claxton and Nancy Clements of Knoxville, TN; two granddaughters, Rachael Faye and Sarah Beth Thompson; and many nieces and nephews.
VISITATION: Visitation will be held on October 10, 2014, 5-7:00pm at J. Mellie NeSmith Funeral Home
FUNERAL: service will be held Saturday October 11, 2014, 11:00 a.m., at Eastside Baptist Church with Rev. Matt Brady and Rev. Kenny Edwards officiating.
BURIAL: Brewton Cemetery, Hagan, GA.
HONORARY PALLBEARERS: Members of Co-ed 3 Sunday School Class.
