OBITUARY

CLAXTON: Melvin Boyett, 63, died February 25, 2014, at his home. The Evans County native was a member and deacon at Anderson Primitive Baptist Church. He was a Master Mason, a member of the Scottish Rites and a Shriner.
Mr. Boyett was preceeded in death by his parents, Lucious and Melrose Boyett, and three brothers, Lynwood, Calvin and Howard Boyett.
SURVIVORS: his wife, Evon Boyett of Claxton; one daughter, Samantha (Kenny) Sapp of Claxton; one brother, Ben Boyett of Collins; three sisters, Joyce Stanfield and Grace Horton of Claxton and Betty Meeks of Vidalia; two grandchildren, Elaina and Khloe Sapp of Claxton; and several nieces and nephews.
VISITATION: Thursday, February 27, 2014, 6-8:00 p.m., at J. Mellie NeSmith Funeral Home.
FUNERAL: Friday, February 28, 2014, 3:00 p.m., at J. Mellie NeSmith Funeral Home Chapel.
BURIAL: Anderson Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.
