Miriam Faye Smith

CLAXTON: Miriam Faye Smith, 74, passed away August 18, 2013, at Ogeechee Area Hospice. The Evans County native was an office manager for her husband for 23 years and taught dance and sang on the radio at one time.
Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by her parents, Virgil and Dollie Snipes and three sons, Robert L. DeLong, Jr., Christopher Smith and Carl Smith, Jr.
SURVIVORS: her husband, Carl B. Smith of Pembroke; one son, Eric (Melissa) DeLong of Savannah; one daughter, Linda Faye (George) Eikleberry of Guyton; two step-sons, Tony (Lisa) Smith of Statesboro and Earl (Karen) Smith of Pembroke; daughter-in-law, Claudette DeLong of Savannah; one brother, Richard Dean Snipes of Savannah; one sister, Linda (Duncan) Ogletree of Savannah; 12 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
FUNERAL: Grave side, Tuesday, August 20, 2013, 11:00 a.m.
BURIAL: Evergreen Baptist Church.
