CLAXTON: Phillip Warren Platt, 59, passed away on November 12, 2024, at East Georgia Regional Medical Center. Phillip began working as a cop and later switched careers to become a truck driver. With twenty-four years of experience, he mastered the art of truck driving and was passionate about everything associated with it.
When he wasn’t on the road providing for his family, he would be found outside hunting, fishing, or watching birds under the pear tree. Phillip deeply cherished his family and was very appreciative of his sons-in-law and the supportive roles they played in his daughters' lives.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Johnny Kline and Patricia Barns Platt; step-father, Don Platt; and little sister, Kelli Denise Platt.
SURVIVORS: his loving wife of thirty-five years, Kimberly Platt; daughters Amanda (Joseph) Eakin, and Hanna (Josh) Sipes; grandchildren, Alana, Aubree, and baby Peyton Eakin, Jacob, Ali, and Ty Stinson, Harper and Bryer Sipes; brothers, John Kline, Teddy Kline and Scott Platt; sisters, Kyra Kline and Renee Clup.
VISITATION: Friday, November 15, 2024, from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. at Mellie NeSmith Funeral Home.
