CLAXTON: Roy Rogers, 80, passed away suddenly on April 21, 2024. He graduated from Reidsville High School and was a lifelong member at Rehoboth Baptist Church where he was the music minister for many years and was well known for singing and playing the piano. Roy was an outdoorsman that enjoyed farming, forestry, hunting, fishing and cutting grass.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Attis and Mini Lee Strickland Rogers; wife, Brenda Cadwell Rogers and three brothers, Clifford Rogers, Hugh Rogers and R.T. Rogers.
SURVIVORS: sons, Keith (Sandy) Rogers of Claxton, Ga. and Bryan (Tammy) Rogers of Dublin, Ga.; grandchildren, Tyler (Jena) Rogers, Jack Rogers and Charley Rogers; great-grandchild, Attisyn Rogers; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
FUNERAL: Graveside, Wednesday, April 24, 2024, 11:00 a.m. at Bay Branch Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.
