OBITUARY
CLAXTON: Rufus Henry Barrow, 92, passed away June 28, 2014, at Evans Memorial Hospital. The Tattnall County native had many friends and acquaintances in the area from his 30 year employment with Claxton Milling Company. Mr. Barrow was a loving husband to his first wife, Edna Mosley, for 30 years until her passing. He was fortunate to meet Ms. Inez Groover, whom he married and went on to enjoy over 30 years of marriage until she preceded him in death. Mr. Barrow was a member and past deacon of Claxton Primitive Baptist Church. He lived his life as a fiercely independent man and his family would like to thank all who loved and cared for him though his later years. In particular, thank you to Mrs. Melanie Hendrix, his church family, and the staff at Camellia Health and Rehab.
SURVIORS: one son, William Henry (wife, Kelly) Barrow of Watkinsville, GA; one sister, Lucy Driggers, of Charleston, S.C.; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
VISITATION: will be one hour before funeral service.
FUNERAL: Tuesday, July 1, 2014, 10:00 a.m., at J. Mellie NeSmith Funeral Home.
