Shirley Loraine Brewton

CLAXTON: Shirley Loraine Brewton, 78, passed away July 26, 2015, at Camellia Rehabilitation Center. The Tattnall County native lived in Evans County for 50 years. She was caregiver for her sister, Janis, and operated MeMa’s Daycare for 35 years, which provided care for over 75 children. She was of Baptist faith.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Lloyd McGlashan and son-in-law, Larry Rogers.
SURVIVORS: one son, Randy Brewton of Ellabell; two daughters, Patsy Rogers of Claxton and Rhonda (Steven) Haire of Bulloch County; one sister, Janis McGlashan; three half-brothers, Barry, Joey and Marty McGlashan; five grandchildren, Shelly Brinkley, Melissa Sapp, Megan Evans, Courtney Haire and Jon Haire; eight great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
VISITATION: Tuesday, July 28, 2015, 5-7:00 p.m., at J. Mellie NeSmith Funeral Home.
FUNERAL: Wednesday, July 29, 2015, 11:00 a.m., at J. Mellie NeSmith Funeral Home Chapel.
