CLAXTON: Thelma Ann Godbee, 100, passed away September 2, 2015, at her home. Born in Fort Mill, S.C., she resided in Tattnall County since the age of five. She worked as a sales lady for a number of years and then became a loving caregiver for her family. She loved taking care of others. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a member of Rehobeth Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Esley Godbee.
SURVIORS: four sons, Paul (Sarah) Godbee of Manassas, Roger (Sandi) Godbee of Jacksonville, FL., Larry (Gwen) Godbee of Claxton and Roy (Katy) Godbee of Manassas; 10 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
VISITATION: Thursday, September 3, 2015, 6-8:00 p.m.,, at J. Mellie NeSmith Funeral Home.
FUNERAL: Friday, September 4, 2015, 11:00 a.m., at J. Mellie NeSmith Funeral Home Chapel.
BURIAL: Brewton Cemetery, Hagan, GA.
REMEMBRANCE: Ogeechee Area Hospice, P. O. Box 531, Statesboro, Ga., 30459.
