OBITUARY
CLAXTON: Thomas Cleveland Blitch, 72, passed away Wednesday, March 23, 2016 at his residence. He was a native of Bryan County, but lived in Claxton for 20 years. He drove a truck for J&M Transport for a number of years before he retired. He also served in the U.S. Army for two years. He believed in old friendship, family values, loved country music and was an avid fisherman.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Felton & Maggie Blitch; Four brothers, Roy Felton, Earl Eugene, Raymond Herbert, John Richard Blitch ; one sister, Elizabeth Blitch.
SURVIVORS: five sisters, Ann Stanley & Dorothy Wiggins of Glennville, Rhonda (Glen) Walden of Newington, Linda Strickland (David May) of Claxton; Glenda (Chuck) Wratchford of Guyton; one step-daughter, Carrie Heimrich of Ohio; two sisters-in-law, Dot Blitch & Minnie Howard; and several nieces and nephews.
VISITATION: Saturday, March 26, 2016, 12-2:00 p.m. at J. Mellie NeSmith Funeral Home.
FUNERAL: Saturday, March 26, 2016, 2:00 p.m. at J. Mellie NeSmith Funeral Home Chapel.
