OBITUARY
CLAXTON: Vera Myrtice DeLoach, 93, passed away August 7, 2014, at Ogeechee Hospice, after a short illness. The Tattnall County native lived all of her life in Evans County. She was the oldest member of Antioch Baptist Church and a faithful Christian. She worked for the Georgia Forestry Commission for 21 years before her retirement. Myrtice was a devoted church member, a loving mother and grandparent, to her family and also to others alike.
She was preceded in death by a son, Loren DeLoach, a grandchild, Stacy DeLoach and 2 great-grandchildren.
SURVIORS: two daughters, Joanne Sharpe of Claxton and Vera Fell of Las Vegas; one son, Beecher DeLoach of Townsend; 12 grandchildren, David, Danny and Kathy Fell, Donna Dement, Connie Doepker, Bonnie Thompson, Linda Sellers, John DeLoach, Tara Flake, Jhonda Sparks, John Sharpe and Jana Tanner; numerous great and great-great-grandchildren; loving companions, Bill and Mae Harper of Claxton; and several nieces and nephews.
VISITATION: Saturday, August 9, 2014, 6-8:00 p.m., at J. Mellie NeSmith Funeral Home Chapel.
FUNERAL: Sunday, August 10, 2014, 3:00 p.m., at Antioch Baptist Church with Rev. Gary Bradham and Pastor Justin Gordon officiating.
BURIAL: Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery.
