CLAXTON: Vivian S. Croft, 69, passed away May 27, 2017, at Ogeechee Area Hospice after a long illness. She was a native of Bulloch County but resided in Evans County the majority of her life. Mrs. Vivian was a member and Sunday School Teacher at Bull Creek Baptist Church, where her Christianity stood strong and followed her through her life. She spent her life caring for others, cooking delicious meals and working in her garden. She was a devoted wife, an excellent mother, and shined at being a granny to her beloved Joshua, playing tag and hide and seek.
Mrs. Croft was preceded in death by her parents, J.E. and Neva Strickland.
SURVIVORS: her husband of 49 years, Vernon Croft of Claxton; two daughters, Norma (Keith) Croft of Claxton and Joyce (Vincent) Collins of Collins, GA; one sister, Marie Foster of Portal; two brothers, David ‘Flanders’ (Ann) Strickland of Faulkville, GA., and Gene Strickland of Portal; her shadow and grandson, Joshua Collins; six step-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
VISITATION: Monday, May 29, 2017, 5:00 p.m.., until, at J. Mellie NeSmith Funeral Home.
FUNERAL: Tuesday, May 30, 2017, 2:00 p.m., at J. Mellie NeSmith Funeral Home Chapel, with Bro. Harold Smith and Bro. Ron Ross officiating.
BURIAL: Bull Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
