William “Billy” Anderson, 84, passed away peacefully, at home, on May 19, 2024. He was born on October 12, 1939, and lived his entire life in Tattnall County. He loved fishing and hunting, but his true passion was his family. He had a special gift of making all he encountered feel deeply loved. He rarely told anyone goodbye without saying, “I love you and don’t forget it”. He was a farmer who loved growing all things. He could often be found singing “Old Black Betty”, “Lord Build Me A Cabin”, “Precious Memories” and “I’ll Fly Away.” He loved the Lord and his church, Rehoboth Missionary Baptist Church. He enjoyed countless hours in his shop building things with his hands. His witty personality and many jokes kept all those around him laughing. He will be truly missed by his family, friends, and community.
He is proceeded in death by his parents, Elder James Lewis Anderson, and Mary Louise Jenkins Anderson of Manassas; His brother and sister-in-law Carol and Louise Anderson of Collins; Sister and Brother-in-law Jeanette and Louis Greene of Cobbtown; Sister -in-law Hilda Anderson of Bellville; Special daughter, Miranda Todd of Atlanta.
