William D. Shaughnessy

CLAXTON: William D. (Bill) Shaughnessy, 77, passed away July 9, 2013, at St. Joseph Hospital. He was a native of Chicago, IL., and served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He attended the Men’s Prayer Breakfast at Daisy Methodist Church and served as the Director over the Hames Senior Citizen Center.

SURVIVORS: his wife, Stephanie (Pinki) Shaughnessy of Claxton; two sons, Daniel (Tammbra) Shaughnessy and Paul (Sara) Shaughnessy, all of Palm Beach County, FL; one daughter, Darlene (Jerry) Sain of Tryon, NC; two brothers, Ed Shaughnessy of Chicago, IL and Jack Shaughnessy of Missouri; three sisters, Mary Wallace of Chicago, IL, Patricia Rohas of Chicago, IL and Anna Marie Ellenbrook of CA; 5 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

MEMORIAL SERVICE: will be held Friday, July 12, 2013, 5:00 p.m., at J. Mellie NeSmith Funeral Home Chapel.
