OBITUARY
CLAXTON: Willie Hugh Strickland, 86, passed away November 17, 2014, at Ogeechee Area Hospice. The Tattnall County native resided in Evans County for the past 43 years. He was a member of Rehoboth Baptist Church. He farmed and loved flowers so much he owned and operated a nursery.
SURVIORS: his wife of 60 years, Rowena R. Strickland of Claxton; one daughter, Winona (Mike) Chumley of Claxton; two sisters, Viola Cannon of Vidalia and Doris Foster of Glennville; two granddaughters, Melissa and Katheryn Chumley; and several nieces and nephews.
VISITATION: Wednesday, November 19, 2014, 5-7:00 p.m., at J. Mellie NeSmith Funeral Home.
FUNERAL: Thursday, November 20, 2014, 11:00 a.m., at Rehoboth Baptist Church.
BURIAL: Bay Branch Cemetery, Bellville, Ga.
HONORARY PALLBEARERS: Deacons of Rehoboth Baptist Church.
