Wilma Tippins Celeste

CLAXTON: Wilma Tippins Celeste, 75, of Claxton, Georgia, passed away on August 1, 2020 at The Griffin House in Claxton, Georgia.
Wilma J. Tippins, born on May 22, 1945 in Daisy, GA, was a 1963 Graduate of Claxton High School. After which, she attended South Ga. Tech. in Americus, GA, where she met her husband, with whom she raised two sons, Mark and Patrick Jones of Bloomingdale. She spent most of her career working as a bookkeeper in the trucking industry in Savannah and Charleston. She returned to Daisy later in life to care for her parents, Charlie and Bessie Tippins, as well as her Niece, Heather Bennett.
Wilma led a full and joyful life, never meeting a stranger and never turning her back on family or friend in need. She will be missed by all who knew her.
SURVIVORS: She is survived by her sons, Mark (Dianne) and Patrick (Andrea), three grandsons, Kegan (Haley), Wyatt and Theron, two great grandsons, Lane and Jaxen Jones, as well as her brother and sister, Gary Tippins and Charlene Conley, along with many nieces and nephews.
She was preceeded in death by her parents Charlie and Bessie Tippins, brother Michael Tippins, and husband Jimmy Jones.
VISTITION: Wednesday, August 5, 2020, 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. at Mellie NeSmith Funeral Home.
