CLAXTON: Winnie D. Boyette, 89, died Saturday, March 12, 2016, at her residence. The Tattnall County native and lifelong residence was the oldest member of Anderson Primitive Baptist Church. She was a truly devoted wife, mother and grandmother and gardening was a special hobby. Mrs. Winnie was preceded in death by her husband, Elvis Boyette and infant son. A special thanks to the caregivers, especially Sharon Conyers.
SURVIORS: two daughters and sons-in-law; Defenia and Kenny Lynn of Manassas and Deloris and Mike Hodges of Thomasville; four grandchildren, Kim Lynn (Abby), Clay Hodges (Victoria), Allison Shermer (Andy) and Dana Vincent (Lance); five great-grandchildren; one sister, Joyce Eason (Henry) of Claxton and several nieces and nephews.
VISITATION: Tuesday, March 15, 2016, 6-8:00 p.m., at J. Mellie NeSmith Funeral Home.
FUNERAL: Wednesday, March 16, 2016, 2:00 p.m., at Anderson Primitive Baptist Church. Her body will lie in state one hour before the funeral.
BURIAL: Anderson Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.
